A reservoir built within 24 hours, and amazingly filled immediately with rain water
We try to be as flexible as possible and to synchronize the timing and length of our projects to suit each individual site.
Rabbi Solomon Shlita, the Rabbi of Petach Tikva, asked the foundation to construct a reservoir in less than 24 hours, and to erect a hundred meter square roof from which water could flow into the reservoir.
The work was done urgently because of the special circumstances – It was the month of Nisan (spring), and the weather forecast predicted one last winter rain before the dry summer months. It was urgent to immediately fill the "otzar" with rain water in preparation for construction of a new mikveh in the coming summer months. This "otzar" was constructed of special material to enable immediate reception of the water, without the usual month long waiting period.
